About Us
Ginger ink was founded by brother and sister, Glenn and Stacey in April 2003. Living and going out in Headingley they could see a niche in the market for a good independent clothes store and were confident enough to quit their jobs and gamble their savings on making the business a success. Today, there are 3 stores located in Chapel Allerton, Horsforth and Headingley, and now our new on-line shop!
If you've ever visited one of the stores we hope you’ll feel like you’ve made a real find. The interiors are really welcoming with dark wood floors and rugs, red walls, gilt mirrors, spotlighting and cool music. We have a great team of staff, easy going and trained to know the labels we sell in detail. When you come into our stores we won’t hassle you, we’ll let you browse, but be there on hand to help if you want it.
In terms of the brands we stock, we constantly search for up and coming brands to sit alongside a stable of better known and well loved labels such as full circle, criminal, and Firetrap. New labels for next season, and available from January include Scotch & Soda, Modern Amusement, Fly 53, MbyM and Sugaloaf. We loved them when we bought them and hope you do too!
